Her Breakthrough Year, for women in higher education.

Twelve months of private coaching with Dr. Jodi Blinco for women who lead on a campus, at an online institution, or at a company serving the field.

What you will walk away with.

Whether your days are spent with students, faculty, budgets, or the board, the year gives you the same three things. You work on them alongside women from across higher education, so you see how the same problems look from every side of campus.

In the meeting

Your voice

You say it in the room instead of in the parking lot afterward. You push back on the deadline, the workload, or the decision that was made without you, and you keep the relationship intact.

On your calendar

Your time back

You stop being the automatic yes for every committee, task force, and quick favor. You know what is yours to carry, what goes back, and exactly how to say it.

In your career

Your next move

A written plan for what comes next: a new role, a bigger scope, or staying where you are on your own terms. Built with real dates, around the way the academic year actually works.

Every woman in the year works on all three, wherever she sits in higher education.

Why women, and why this field.

Because I came up in it. I know what your Monday looks like, on a campus, on a platform, or at a company selling into both. I know the specific loneliness of being the woman everyone trusts and no one checks on.

The work I love most is sitting with a woman who is very accomplished and very tired, and watching her figure out that she is allowed to want more than this.

The fix is not working harder inside the box. It is deciding you are allowed to want a different one.

— Jodi 💜

Built for women in higher education, by a woman who has lived it.

Jodi has worked the same calendar you work: enrollment targets, budget cuts, accreditation visits, and the student emergency that shows up at 10pm. Your year starts whenever you are ready, at any point in the academic calendar, and it moves in four seasons alongside everything you are already carrying.

Season oneTell the truth

We start with you, not with the strategic plan or the next initiative from the president's office. We look at the title you inherited, the interim role that never ended, and the rules you have been following because that is how it has always been done.

Season twoPut down what is not yours

The search committee you could not say no to. The colleague's work that ended up on your desk after the last reorg. The students who have your cell number. We decide what stays, what goes back, and who you have been shrinking for.

Season threeBuild it in specifics

The cabinet seat, the promotion case, the job posting you keep rereading, the raise you have not asked for. We build what is next with real dates and real numbers, before the next budget cycle or hiring freeze closes the door.

Season fourMake it permanent

We lock it in so it holds through the next leadership change and the next hard semester. This is the year your career starts moving in the direction you chose.

The questions women actually ask.

I do not have time for this.

Three hours a month. One private session, one roundtable in the quarter it falls, and whatever you choose to do with the Masterclass on your own schedule. The women who join are the busiest people you know. That is exactly the problem the year is for.

Is this group coaching or private coaching?

Private. Every monthly session is one to one with Jodi. The roundtables and the community are the added room around it, not the substance of it.

I am not on a campus. I am in ed tech.

You belong here. The year is built for the whole higher-education ecosystem: colleges, online institutions, ed tech, enrollment and marketing firms, publishers, and the consultancies serving the field. The mix is the point.

What if I am not sure I am ready for a full year?

Start with the 90-Day Starter. Four private sessions plus the workbook, for $597, and the whole amount credits toward the year if you decide to continue. Or start with a $27 download. Nobody has to begin at the top.

Can my institution pay?

Frequently, yes. Professional development funds, conference lines, and grant-funded initiatives have all covered it. Ask for the justification letter and we will send it within a day.

What if it turns out not to be right for me?

That is what the conversation is for, and it happens before you spend anything. If the year is not the fit, Jodi will tell you, and she will usually tell you what is.

Your institution may already have the budget.

Many women in this year are not paying for it themselves. Their institution is, out of money that already exists.

The funds are allocated annually, and much of it expires unclaimed. Professional development lines, staff development accounts, tuition assistance, conference budgets, and grant-funded leadership initiatives have all covered this. Not because requests get denied, but because nobody asks before the deadline.

This is an easy approval. It costs less than sending you to two conferences with travel, and it produces a written development plan your supervisor can point to.

We write the letter for you. A one-page justification, framed in the language approvers respond to: leadership capacity, retention, succession readiness, and measurable outcomes. You add your name and send it.
